How to Cook the Perfect Steak: Juicy, Tender, and Full of Flavor
A good steak doesn’t have to be complicated. The secret lies in a few simple details: the ideal temperature, a very hot pan, and sufficient resting time after cooking. With butter and garlic, you’ll achieve a fantastic flavor that will make the steak particularly juicy and aromatic.
Ingredients:
1 to 2 steaks (your choice),
olive oil,
salt,
black pepper,
1 to 2 tablespoons of butter,
1 clove of garlic.
Preparation:
1. Preparing the Meat: Take the meat out of the refrigerator a little while before cooking so it isn’t icy cold when you sear it.
Drizzle it with a little olive oil on both sides and massage it gently.
Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
2. Measuring the Steak
Heat a heavy-bottomed or non-stick skillet.
Place the steak in the hot skillet and sear it.
Turn it over and brown the other side.
Add the butter and garlic clove when the meat is nicely browned.
Baste the steak with the melted garlic butter several times for added flavor.
3. Let the meat rest.
Once the steak has reached your desired doneness, remove it from the skillet.
Place it on a plate and cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This will allow the juices to redistribute and the meat to become juicier.
Tips for optimal results
Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking. Also, be aware that the temperature will continue to rise slightly during resting time, so remove the meat just before it reaches your desired final temperature.
Serve the steak with roasted potatoes, a creamy sauce, and a fresh salad for a complete dinner.
